I am a Degree qualified guitar & piano teacher who just relocated from the US and am starting my teaching business in York. I have been teaching music for over ten years and am well versed in all styles from Funk & R&B to Classical and all forms of Rock. I studied classical piano and guitar in college and have plenty of experience teaching classical style to all ages.

Here is a snapshot of my history:

•Started playing piano & guitar in New York at age 10
•Was accepted into a performing arts high school for classical guitar.
•Performed in various classical trios and quartets for my school.
•Performed in various Rock & Blues bands outside school.
•Was awarded a full scholarship to the National Guitar Workshop in Connecticut where I studied with renowned players including Andrew York of the LA guitar quartet.
•Attended the State University of New York for Classical Piano and music composition
•Relocated down south to finish my Bachelors Degree at the University of South Florida.
•Performed with numerous MoTown, R&B and dance bands throughout Florida.
•Immediately after graduating University I became the music director for a local school and taught in a classroom environment for several years.

I teach at all levels and I tailor my lessons to the specific needs of my students. Please feel free to give me a call any time for a chat or for my rates. I also run my own home recording studio so have all the facilities on hand to record lessons and either burn a CD or create an MP3 file for the student to keep.
