Hays Social Care has a number of jobs for Residential Officers to work with children and young people in North Yorkshire.

As a Residential Officer you will require NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar care related subject. You should also have proven experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting. Experience of working with challenging behaviour and service users with learning difficulties or autism would be ideal.

The children you will work with need residential officers to help with both physical and emotional support in residential and classroom settings. The role involves providing one-to-one support for service users and working closely with the existing staff team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as is the ability to think on your feet.

This is an ideal opportunity for a dedicated Residential Officer to help people and for the right candidates may lead to a permanent position. Shift work is available both days and nights. Own transport would be ideal due to the location of the position although not essential. CRB checks and references are required.
