We are working with an engineering major in the nuclear, oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. This role has arisen as a result of rapid growth and scuccess.
Job Profile
Initially based in Manchester during the procurement stage and then transferring to site at Sellafield.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, key tasks will include:
Reviewing Compensation Event notifications and producing cost estimates for submittal to the client.
Working with the Project Controls team to ensure the programme effect of change is included within the priced compensation event.
Reviewing subcontractors estimates for compensation events.
Ensure that the change management process is followed.
Project Summary
This is a major project valued at more than £250m and lasting over four years.
Initial work involves the construction of a heavily reinforced concrete structure approximately 30m high constructed using hydraulically operated jump forms. Modules weighing up to 500T will be constructed at off-site fabrication yards and delivered to site by sea. The modules will be transported up the beach and across a purpose made temporary bridge spanning a river and rail line. The civil engineering element of the work will last approximately 18 months. During this period the detailed planning of the M E and I and commissioning phase will be continued on site. On completion of the major civils work, the modules will be installed within the structure using an 800T purpose made gantry and the in-situ M E and I works undertaken.
