Employed during the early months of parenting/new baby, a post-natal doula offers an alternative form of support for new parents. I work in the home for an hourly rate. Duties include light housework, school runs, care of older siblings, plus encouragement, suggestions and support in caring for your newborn. In particular, I'm trained to give help with breastfeeding.

A birth doula is hired to attend the labour and birth of your baby, offering continuous nurturing presence whether at home or hospital to the mum-to-be and her partner. Lifting the burden from the husband/partner alone, a birth doula will help you to have a positive birth experience whether in hospital or at home.
