Qualified Social Worker - Mental Health - East Yorkshire.

A terrific opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Social Worker to work a 3 month contract (with the possibility of going permanent) in a purpose built medium to low secure independent Hospital on a permanent basis. My client specialises in treating adults with challenging behaviours as well as patients with learning and developmental disorders.

The Social Worker will be expected to provide a social work service as part of a developing social care strategy to the sites' secure service users. This will involve conducting various assessments on service users' individual needs, assisting service users and their families in the care planning process, liaising with external authorities and working collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary team. Further duties will involve report writing, attending meetings and record keeping.

You will be a Qualified Social Worker possessing a valid GSCC Registration and a post graduate qualification (Degree/DipSW/QSW) within Social Work. Candidates must have post graduate experience of working in a Mental Health environment and working knowledge of The Mental Health Act.

Competitive hourly rates are on offer as well as the possibility of permanent employment upon completion of the contract.

The position in based at a site in the East Yorkshire region in a location that is easily commutable from York, Wetherby, Selby, Goole, Elloughton, Hull, Beverley, Hornsea, Driffield and Market Weighton as well as other surrounding areas.
