STR Health is looking to recruit an experienced RMN to work as Unit Manager within one of our client's nursing homes in the Harrogate area. Previous supervisory experience is essential, and applicants should have strong clinical skills to lead by example.

The shift pattern is rota'd over 4 days each week and will be between 08.00-20.00 (11 hour shifts) with a salary of £12.20 - £13.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Core responsibilities will include:
To oversee / maintain the care of Clients within the Unit. In the absence of the Deputy Manager, to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Nursing Home, and ensure that all Company policies and procedures, and all legal requirements, are adhered to within the defined timescales.

* Previous management/supervisory experience
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group
* Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
* Ensuring that client care plans are maintained
* Assess all aspects of care needs and ensure they are maintained and monitored
* Work effectively with other staff members
* Deputise in absence of Manager and Deputy Manager
* Produce hand over reports at the end of each shift
* Administer medicines to clients
* Supervise and instruct junior members of staff
* Promote safe working practice within the Home
