We are looking for a manager with a proven track record to help us maintain and develop further the care and administrative standards within our home. Registered for 17 residents, Evergreen is intimate and homely with residents who are suffering from dementia mostly in its later stages. The home’s reputation in the local community for this type of care has been carefully rebuilt over the past 12 months following the acquisition of the home by us in December 2007. You will be able to make a significant contribution to developing this reputation further to attain the 3 star status we are aiming for.

You will report directly to the managing director and thus will have access both to his experience and his ability to make resourcing decisions quickly. You will thus be supported fully in ensuring that the home finds it’s place amongst the recognised quality providers in Scarborough.

The ideal candidates will have;

RMA or NVQ4 in management, or equivalent experience
Experience in dementia care or handling people with mental health challenges
A good local reputation as a manager
An understanding of the basic legislative environment within which the home is operating
A computer-friendly attitude to developing and maintaining systems to meet the documenting requirements of this environment
The ability to ensure good lines of communication are maintained with residents, relatives, staff and other health care professionals,
The ability to follow the homes policies and procedures, to review and amend them as and when called on to do so.
